Instructions cover technical skills needed by individuals to enter the workforce as entry-level automotive body technician. Classroom and Lab instructions are effectively coordinated to give the student the skills needed to repair a damaged vehicle as an auto body technician.

  • Alignment and structural repair
  • Sheet metal repair
  • SMC and composite repair
  • Basic body repair
  • Bumper replacement
  • Plastic panel replacement
  • Refinishing procedures
  • Priming surfaces
  • Finish painting
  • Custom painting

Students will also be introduced to:

  • Basic sheet metal straightening
  • Body filler and glazes
  • Epoxy and urethane primer coats
  • Base coating, pearl coating, and top coating
  • 2K clear coating
  • Buffing and polishing top coats
  • Estimate reports
